Bogna Grażyna Jaroslawski is a scenic designer, multidisciplinary artist and dramaturg based in Berlin. She has created designs for public parks, theatre, film and opera like Deutsche Oper Berlin Tischlerei, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg Platz Berlin, Uferstudios Berlin, Stadtpark Bremerhaven and the short film Babuschka, winner of the Short Tiger in Cannes. In 2015, she started the organization Soziale-Skulptur.org for project-based art collaborations with cultural education programs in India, South Africa, Japan and Germany.
In 2017, she was the opera dramaturg in the Volkstheater Rostock after she studied “Bühnenbild_Szenischer Raum“ (TU Berlin 2015), “contemporary German literature“ (TU Berlin 2012), “drama and performance theory“ (FU Berlin 2014) and „Discipline delle arti, della musica, dello specttacolo“ (Roma Tre 2009) where she received a Magister Artium and a Master of Arts degree.
In 2011, she received the young artist award of the Sparkasse Foundation committed by the Office for Cultural Affairs Bremerhaven followed by a fellowship at the Foundation Studies in 2012 and the Deutschland-Stipendium by the German Federal Ministry for Research and Education in 2014. From 2008-2012 she was a research assistant at the Collaborative Research Centre 626 Aesthetic experience and the dissolution of artistic limits (FU Berlin) and from 2005-2007 a dramaturgy assistant at the Komische Oper Berlin.
